4 Stages to Building an Insanely Profitable Business You Love

Business has to be profitable.

Business SHOULD fund your life.

It SHOULDN'T take over your life.

And if you want to grow your business in a way that ensures it will be profitable and that you absolutely love, you must follow these 4 stages:

Now let's dig into each of these 4 stages a little more…

Stage 1: Dare to Dream

How do you create vision?

Whether you are just starting a business, or have been in business for a number of years already, vision casting is the most important thing you must understand or you will fail.

There are several crucial principles you must understand:

  1. Having goals is not the same as having vision.
  2. When casting a vision for your life and business, you must “burn down” everything and everybody else in your life.
  3. You must dream without filters.

Stage 2: Know Thyself

You must know who you are, what you're good at, and what YOU should be spending the majority of your time actually doing inside of your business.

Are you a business owner or a business operator?

Is where you're spending your time in your business in alignment with your skillset?

Don't lie to yourself about what you are or are not.

Stage 3: Define Where You Are Now

You must know where you are starting from in order to create a clear plan for where you are going in your business;

Especially when it comes to expanding your team (should you wish to do so).

One key thing to remember:

Never hire somebody for a position in your business that doesn't already exist.

(No matter how talented they are or how excited you are to work with them.)

You must first have a clear vision of a position and exactly what you want to accomplish with it within your business before you conduct interviews.

Even seasoned business owners like Shaun can fall prey to this temptation:

Stage 4: Bridge the Gap

You must identify what you need right now in order to get from where you are to where you want to be.

Always ask yourself;

Is there a simpler or faster way for me to get from where I am to where I want to be?

Seek advice from people you trust who can see things that maybe you can't.

Remember, the quality of your life and business are directly related to and determined by the expectations of your peers.

The late, great Jim Rohn said it best:

“You are the sum of the 5 people you spend the most time with.”

If you want to upgrade your business, always look for how you can upgrade your environment and the company you keep.
